Our stories are the stories of the cosmos, of the terrestrial in dialogue with the celestial.
Myth, dreams, a deeper knowing, a feeling that there’s something larger than yourself that is mirrored in your life— these are the stories the planets and constellations whisper as the seasons turn, as each night darkens, and each day shines.
An astrological reading should help awaken the story of yourself and tell it in a new way. The language of astrology is elemental and symbolic and it comes to life through personal engagement with these symbols and myths.
This language is composed of the planets in our solar system, constellations, asteroids, fixed stars, and points in the sky. These objects in our universe have been observed for thousands of years and many layers of myth and wisdom have settled around them in our human imagination.
My approach to astrology is to reconnect the client to an innate sense of wonder and belonging found in the stories of the cosmos. This provides an opening for self-recognition, healing, and ease. In the cultures that preceded our modern world, the cosmos and myth were considered sacred, part of a divine totality that also included man. In this way, I hold each person’s story as sacred— numinous, precious, and worthy of awe— and I create a space safe for expression, exploration, release, and recognition.
A good reading connects the stories of our deepest selves to a larger whole regardless of the client or the astrologer’s religious beliefs or worldview.
